Devonshire Productions Inc. is an Indigenous owned Canadian company committed to developing and producing domestic and international innovative and diverse feature films and TV Series.
DPI’s films have premiered internationally at Venice, TIFF and Sundance. Devonshire recently produced on three features which premiered at TIFF 2025: BLOOD LINES by TIFF Top 10 Métis director Gail Maurice, STEAL AWAY by renowned director Clement Virgo and NIKA & MADISON by Eva Thomas.
DPI has a robust slate of features and TV projects at various states of development. DPI has also worked extensively with international service productions with the US and Ireland.
Devonshire Productions’ feature development slate includes: the coming-of-age drama THIS ROAD OF MINE by Oscar nominated Greenlandic director Pipaluk Jorgenson, the fantasy/drama MERSEA by Lindsay MacKay, the folkloric horror THE HAG, and the adaptation of the Governor General’s award-winning novel MARY REPARATRIX. For television DPI is developing: the comedy series A GOOD MIND with CBC led by award winning writer Zoe Hopkins, the new Zealand co-pro FLOWERS OF THE UNDERWORLD and THE UNTITLED NORVAL MORRISSEAU series with Hopkins, Gil Bellows and Kevin Hearn of Barenaked Ladies fame.

Paula Devonshire is a producer from Toronto, Canada. She attended the Canadian Film Centre’s Producer’s Lab, Trans-Atlantic Partners and was the first Canadian to participate in the prestigious Inside Pictures Producer Program in London, UK.
Devonshire is a member of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte and is a champion of Indigenous cinema having produced Richard Wagamese’s INDIAN HORSE, Zoe Hopkins’ RUN WOMAN RUN, Darlene Naponse’s STELLAR, Gail Maurice’s BLOOD LINES and served as EP on Eva Thomas’ NIKA & MADISON. Paula Devonshire was on the Board of Directors for the imagineNATIVE Film Festival for ten years and continues to mentor and support emerging and established Indigenous talent across Canada as well as internationally with Indigenous co-productions in development with New Zealand, Australia and Greenland.
Before starting her own company, Paula was the in-house producer at Copper Heart Entertainment where she worked on the Oscar winning animated film RYAN and also produced the two sequels to the critically acclaimed GINGER SNAPS.
Paula has developed and produced content with broadcast and streaming partners including MGM, CBS, Warner Bros, TBS, Bell Media, CBC, and Corus. She held executive positions at eOne and Wise Acre Entertainment supervising an extensive slate of TV projects. Devonshire produced on many series including “John Grisham’s The Firm”, Vikings”, “People of Earth”, “Star Trek” - nominated for the 2020 Emmy Awards, and “Clarice” the “The Silence of the Lambs” sequel.
Paula produced on the feature films which have screened at acclaimed festivals such as Venice, Sundance and TIFF: REAL TIME, GEORGE ROMERO’S DIARY OF THE DEAD and SURVIVAL OF THE DEAD, WET BUM, Atom Egoyan’s REMEMBER starring the legendary Christopher Plummer, Neil Jordan’s GRETA, starring Isabel Huppert and Chloe Moretz, and Clement Virgo’s STEAL AWAY.
She is also a member of the Directors Guild of Canada, the Canadian Media Producers Association and is on the Toronto Film, TV and Media Board.
Paula recently premiered three films at TIFF 2025: BLOOD LINES by TIFF Top 10 winner Gail Maurice, STEAL AWAY by world renowned Clement Virgo and Nika & Madison by award winning director Eva Thomas. Paula was presented with the CMPA Indie Screen award for Feature Producer of the year at the opening night of TIFF 2025.
